PromptMD Urgent Care Center offers many of the same services provided at the ER at a fraction of the cost, including ones that are not offered in traditional offices such as splinting and stitches.
Urgent care centers provide medically necessary services required to treat an illness or injury that would not result in further disability or death if not treated immediately, but could develop into such a situation if not treated within 24 hours. Patients typically come in for conditions such as allergies, burns, influenza, bone fractures (in-house X-Ray machine), cough, cuts, fever, sinus infection, sore throat (strep test), sprains and muscle strains, and respiratory infections. Care is provided on a walk-in basis, no appointment is needed.
